Project Overview
The City of Mountain House was incorporated on July 1, 2024, as the 483rd City in the State of California. The city is currently operating on an interim basis with the adoption of the County of San Joaquin’s General Plan. According to Government Code Section 65584.07, the City of Mountain House has 30 months to develop and adopt their own Housing Element from city incorporation. The Mountain House Master Plan currently serves as the City’s primary policy document, guiding all growth and development for the community. This Master Plan was originally adopted by the Board of Supervisors in 1994 as a Specific Plan and therefore does not include the mandatory Housing Element as defined by Government Code Section 65302.
