Mountain House Issues Water Conservation Notice During Planned Supply Shutdown
Residents, Schools, and Contractors Asked to Conserve During October 26–28 Shutdown
Mountain House, CA –The City of Mountain House is advising residents, schools, and contractors to conserve water during a scheduled shutdown of the community’s drinking water supply.
The shutdown will occur from Sunday, October 26 at 12:00 a.m. through Tuesday, October 28 at 10:00 a.m. During this time, the Department of Water Resources will conduct a planned treatment of the regional water source.
In preparation for the shutdown, Inframark, the City’s water system operator, will fill the City’s surface water storage tanks to maintain indoor water service for essential needs such as flushing toilets, handwashing, and basic household use. However, stored supplies are limited and must be conserved to ensure water remains available until operations resume.
The City requests the following actions during the shutdown period:
-
Residents: Conserve water and turn off all residential irrigation.
-
School District: Suspend landscape watering.
-
Landscape and construction contractors: Turn off irrigation and limit water use.
Normal operations are expected to resume on Tuesday, October 28 at 10:00 a.m. The City will issue a follow-up notice once the shutdown has ended and regular use may resume.
The City appreciates the community’s cooperation in supporting water system reliability during this planned service interruption.
